I am coming up on 23 weeks and there have been some purchases throughout this pregnancy that I honestly just can’t live without!
There have also been purchases that I didn’t care for. One purchase I thought I would LOVE was a pregnancy pillow, but the truth is, I personally found it so hard to sleep with. It’s interesting, I find that a lot of the pregnancy-specific purchases are never ones I love. It really is all about finding what works for you. SO, I wanted to share some things that have worked out so well for me so far.
I’m sharing my favorite purchases below and why:
- Sleep Mist. I feel like my bedtime routine has become one of my favorite things about the day and this sleep mist really just feels like part of that ritual and I love it!
- Apple Watch. If you saw my IG stories not too long, I spoke about how sedentary I realized I have been. During this pandemic, I feel like it has been so much easier to not move. Although I have still been working out every day, my overall movement (standing up + steps) was way too low. This watch has been the BEST reminder.
- Kiehl’s Creme de Corps. This was something that I almost didn’t purchase because it wasn’t clean enough, but I can’t deny how great the lotion feels. I alternate between this and the Hatch Belly Oil or coconut oil, but again, this just makes me feel good.
- Wildling Stone. Gua Sha has been something I’ve enjoyed doing so much. I feel like it took me a bit to actually get into doing it, but now that I do it often, I’m hooked. It helps me a lot with congestion as well and I always see a difference in my skin when I use it.
- Eberjey PJs. I pretty much live in pajama shirts like this because it is by far the most comfortable for me. The softer, the better, which is why these are the best.
- Origins Original Skin Mask. This mask has been a favorite of mine for years and I find it to be my go-to lately. My skin just feels so happy afterward.
- Facial Steamer. Speaking of masks, I pretty much do a full spa routine a few times per week right now. This is by far my favorite steamer and using it before a face mask at night just makes me feel good : )
- Drybar Brush. I am all about ease with getting ready lately. I also can’t stand up that long without getting out of breath these days- ha! This brush (that is a hairdryer too) helps save me so much time. I will say, I have a LOT of hair, so often I find that I have to do a quick blow dry with my regular hairdryer first just to get my hair damp and then I move to this brush.
- Dyson Air Purifier. I can’t even get over what a difference I feel when this is on. If we don’t have it on at night while we sleep, I can tell the next day. My eyes feel heavier and I’m more congested. I ended up buying another larger one for our house because I can’t believe how much it helps.
- Hatch Restore. I can’t stress enough how important sleep has been for me. It has actually been the toughest part of this pregnancy. I think we just have so much that is unsettled in our life at the moment, that it really is keeping me up at night. I purchased this machine and I really love the sounds and light to promote rest.
- Epsom Salt Bath. At least once a week (usually on my wild Friday nights) I take an Epsom salt bath and I always look forward to it. I don’t quite follow the “warm bath” advice. I actually find a warm bath to be terrible- ha! I also make sure it isn’t too hot though and I find it to be so enjoyable. This blend from Dr. Teal’s is by far my favorite combination!
- Outdoor Voices Workout Dress. When we were in California, I had been trying to golf and play tennis as much as possible and I cannot get over how comfortable this dress is. I don’t have to wear an additional sports bra (PRAISE) and it has built-in shorts. Truly, this dress was such a good find!
The other item I splurged on when I wasn’t sleeping well, was down pillows. When we stayed at the La Quinta Resort & Spa not too long ago, both Tyson and I had the best sleep we’ve had in forever so in desperation, I bought their pillows because I couldn’t get over how great they were.
Other things I have been loving:
- Barefoot Dreams robe
- Thorne Prenatals (I switched halfway through to these because they had a higher amount of folate and I honestly, I feel like they give me more energy and they also get things moving- if you know what I mean : )
- Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Omega’s
- Sage diffuser scents
- PAC Hyaluronic Acid- I am absolutely in love with this product!
What other pregnancy things would you like to know about?
